Summer Camp

Our philosophy at Project 50 Kids revolves around 4 key components: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Connecting, and Resource Sharing. We achieve our objectives in a number of ways of which one is our annual Summer Camp. Camp is a month long rigorous program that engages undergrad volunteers from various universities who teach the basics of Computer Science to students from low-cost public and private schools.

This year our camps are being held at Saint Johns, Ghauri Wisdom and Allied School in Lahore and Government Girls High School in Faisalabad.

During this 4 week long program our students will be taught: Introduction to Computers, Understanding Google, MS Logo and Scratch, all of which are designed to incorporate our philosophy.

Our team of teachers play a crucial role in our organization. This year we were been able to engage 40 students of FAST University, LUMS, ITU, FCU and LCWU. We have been successful in reaching out to more than 1200 people in last 2 years.

P50K piloted under the umbrella of Rabtt at their Summer Camp 2015. During the month long program we were able to engage 150 students from:

Dar-ul-Arqam Raiwind
Ghauri Wisdom Foundation Youhanabad
Dean Public School Youhanabad
Pilot Government School Wahdat Road

The variety of students, their diverse skill sets and learning capabilities helped us strengthen our curriculum by making it flexible enough to cater to the needs and mental level of each set of students.

Our team of teachers play a crucial role in our organization. This year we were been able to engage 20 students of FAST University, most of them being freshmen. Our greatest achievement was being able to convince them to volunteer for our cause at such an early stage with limited resources.

We have been successful in reaching out to more than 650 people in less than 4 months. We were also able to reach an additional 700+ people at the Rabtt Graduation Ceremony where the work of our students was exhibited.
